Content is focused on kinematic analysis of mechanical systems and its inclusion in curricula is the result of the search for new forms and methods suitable for use in the teaching of technical mechanics. Teaching takes the form of lectures and laboratory exercises. Three different approaches to kinematic analysis of simple mechanical systems, such as analytical solutions, graphical solutions, and computer-aided solutions, are applied to solve all the tasks. The article provides an example of a kinematic analysis of the central crank mechanism. For functional simulation of mechanical systems, PTC Creo software and Autodesk Inventor Professional are available in the computer lab. ER
