AB  - The paper deals with the current issue of the safe use of digital devices, specifically smartphones, by elementary school students. The paper presents the results of a research investigation focused on this issue and an evaluation of the current state of how children perceive and use them. Attention is also paid to social interaction and the change in students' communication skills influenced by communication with the use of smart devices and the limitation of physical contact between children.
