AB The strategy of the education for the sustainable development determines the priorities and strategic precautions in the sphere of the sustainable development. It is the fundamental document for the systematically and coordinated development of the education for the sustainable development in the Czech Republic. The paper deals with the fundamental requirements for the education and the sustainable development of the pre-school and youngschool-age children and the pre-graduate training of the future preprimary and primary school teachers.
