In teaching practice in mathematics teaching require an interactive display of mathematical patterns through appropriate software. There have many commercial applications as well as applications in the field of freeware and open source. Commercial applications are often limited the use of a limited scope, time or conditions of the license. The paper will show an example of the use of open - source applications SciDAVis teaching numerical mathematics. This cross-platform program, unlike other similar programs, extended dependency of functional imaging, a combination of experimental data and the possibility of their own mathematical programming techniques in Python.

Keywords: open - source software, mathematics, function.
