The paper deals with the issue of failure of students in tests of mathematics in the first year of study at the university. Here are shows some results of both quantitative and qualitative research in this area. Based on the results obtained it was decided to create a multimedia study materials. In the paper is described procedure that was applied in creating these materials. Their components are video recordings of lectures. Briefly are described the experience with the use of these study materials in the teaching.
