WANG Xiaojun, DOSTÁL Jiří, AZIZ Avan Kamal

TVV 2020, 13(1):5-11 | DOI: 10.5507/tvv.2020.001

Nowadays, it is universally acknowledged that Information and communication technology (ICT) plays an important role in education. This study aims to investigate research on English foreign language (EFL) teachers’ ICT competence, including pre-service EFL teachers’ ICT competence and in-service EFL teachers’ ICT competence within the last ten years between 2009 and 2018. The main contribution of this study is to find out what has been done on the topic and what needs to be further done. ERIC, Web of Science, ProQuest Education Database were searched to collect data on this topic. With criteria of inclusion and exclusion, a total...

DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNICAL LITERACY BY COMPUTER-CONTROLLED MACHINES

SIMBARTL Petr, HONZÍKOVÁ Jarmila, KROTKÝ Jan

TVV 2020, 13(1):35-42 | DOI: 10.5507/tvv.2020.004

The article describes the use of 3D printers and laser plotter at elementary school. There are discussed possibilities of use and issues related to the actual use of these devices. The cost of these technologies is falling down, making it easier for elementary schools to afford it. RVP does not prevent to use it and a whole it is integrated into STEM or STEAM education. The piloting showed that children do not have a problem, after a short training, to create a 3D object in the basic program for 3D graphics. These computer-controlled machines offer also very good cross-curricular interconnection for elementary schools. However, each of these devices...

DEVELOPING CONSTRUCTION SKILLS - A NECESSARY PART OF ROBOTICS

HYKSOVÁ Hana

TVV 2020, 13(1):43-52 | DOI: 10.5507/tvv.2020.006

Historically, everyone had thought that robotics is programming that belongs in computer science lessons. This is no longer the case. More important than the knowledge of programming language is the development of computer and logical thinking and other competences. Teaching robotics today is actually part of polytechnic education. In elementary schools, various robotic toys and programmable kits are used in teaching. Robotic toys are constructively designed and are programmable. We have to assemble robots first from robotic kits and we need construction skills to do this. We will show you where to develop these design skills and which kits we use for this.

PROGRAMMING OF CNC MACHINES – IS IT PROGRAMMING INDEED?

NÉMETHOVÁ Silvia, MRÁZEK Michal

TVV 2020, 13(1):53-62 | DOI: 10.5507/tvv.2020.007

As part of the curriculum reform currently underway in the Czech Republic, it is planned to create a separate educational area “Man and Technology” with the subject Engineering. This course is to ensure the education of pupils and students in technical terms, which also includes work with CNC machines. The word “programming” is often associated with CNC machines, but this is not the typical computer programming taught at secondary schools and universities. The following article is devoted to the theoretical analysis and comparison of these two types of programming, which shows whether the programming of CNC machines can be considered...

ASSESSMENT OF PEDAGOGICAL DIGITAL COMPETENCE

©VRČINOVÁ Veronika

TVV 2020, 13(1):63-70 | DOI: 10.5507/tvv.2020.008

Pedagogical Digital Competence (PDC) is a prerequisite for effective applications of digital technology in teaching and learning. In many countries around the world, PDCs are integrated into the educational framework for the teacher. There are also a number of specific PDC frameworks (egUNESCO, ISTE, DigCompTeach, DigCompEdu, ECDL), but there is an acute lack of standardized (self) evaluation tools in the area of PDC assessment. The aim of the paper is to analyze the issue of PDC of teachers in the context, which reflects PDC in the framework of national curricula and reforms of school education systems. The partial objective is to compare the specific...

CONCEPTION OF THE SCHOOL WORKROOM AND TECHNICAL FACILITIES AT CONTEMPORARY PARADIGM OF TECHNOLOGY

TVARŮ®KA Václav

TVV 2020, 13(1):20-27 | DOI: 10.5507/tvv.2020.003

The paper deals with the ideal facilities for technological education from the contemporary possibilities and perspectives´ point of view. The author proceeds from his pedagogical practice in condition of primary school. There was a special wing of the school building fully used due to its spatial and technical facilities. The paper deals with a workroom equipment from the contemporary trends of education´s point of view in developed countries.

SIMULATION MODELS AND POSSIBILITIES OF THEIR APPLICATION IN TEACHING TECHNICAL SUBJECTS IN THE CONTEXT OF INDUSTRIE 4.0

SEDLÁČEK Michal

TVV 2020, 13(1):12-19 | DOI: 10.5507/tvv.2020.002

The paper deals with the presentation of the possibilities of using specific simulation models in the teaching of technically oriented subjects as a demonstration models. The demonstration simulation models were created in Simul8 software. These models are focused on the application of theoretical elements of teaching technical subjects. Computer modeling currently provides a modern problem-solving capability in complex engineering systems, and its application in education can be used to illustrate and facilitate understanding of sequence of steps and operations in manufacturing systems. The paper is focused on demonstrating the possibilities of using...

MODELING PRODUCTION PROCESSES USING SIMUL8 SOFTWARE IN THE CONTEXT OF TEACHING TECHNICAL SUBJECTS

SEDLÁČEK Michal

TVV 2020, 13(1):28-34 | DOI: 10.5507/tvv.2020.005

The paper deals with the possibility of using modeling and simulation tools in the teaching process. Emphasis is placed on their application in teaching technical subjects in the form of a demonstration tool. Simul8 program was chosen as a software tool, which is primarily used for modeling logistic processes based on discrete simulation and enables creation of visual models of production, distribution, economic and other processes. The paper is focused on the steps of the process of creating simulation models of production processes and the possibilities of their use in the educational process focused on the development of technical thinking.
