Milan Klement, Marek Domanský
TVV 2024, 17(1):20-29 | DOI: 10.5507/tvv.2024.005
Industry 4.0 is a topic that is receiving more and more attention in companies, which brings with it an impact on the whole society and increasing demands on the education system. The education system must respond to changes in the labour market and prepare a young generation of professionals who will be trained in accordance with the needs of production, oriented towards the principles of Industry 4.0. For this reason, an analysis of the state of secondary vocational education has been carried out in several areas that may be key to monitoring current trends in the preparation of students in the context of Industry 4.0. Not only demographic data...
VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND DIDACTICS - STATUS AND PERSPECTIVES
Čestmír SERAFÍN
TVV 2024, 17(1):30-36 | DOI: 10.5507/tvv.2024.006
The presented review study focuses on the current state and development of didactics in vocational education in the Czech Republic. The aim of the study is to evaluate the current state of didactics of vocational subjects and didactics of practical teaching in secondary schools in the Czech Republic and to indicate the further possible development of these didactics in the changes marked by the digitalization of the trade and service industry, i.e. the sectors for which secondary vocational schools prepare their graduates. The first part defines the discourse of the problem under study. The second part is then devoted to the analysis of the state...

TVV 2024, 17(1):5-19 | DOI: 10.5507/tvv.2024.004
The aim of this article is to focus on a risky behaviour in cyber environment and its prevention as the family’s point of view. The family is often not only the actor who should solve the problem, but it is also often the participant in creating this risky phenomenon. It is the task of the family to react on changes in the society and to develop competence to perform the prevention. This task does not represent any easy challenge for the parents as the development of cyberspace and ICT is significant. It is exceedingly problematic to be informed about the activities of children and young people in cyberspace. The research introduced below...

An effective way to teach linear algebra using motivational examples
Vladimír Guldan, Ivana Pobočíková
TVV 2024, 17(1):37-42 | DOI: 10.5507/tvv.2024.007
This paper addresses the motivation of bachelor's degree students in electrical engineering and information technology when learning linear algebra. AC circuit analysis uses linear algebra to determine the current and voltage in each component. We present a motivating example that demonstrates how a system of linear equations can be applied to analyze electric circuits consisting of batteries and resistors. The application of linear equations to electrical circuit analysis proves highly useful, streamlining the problem-solving process. Additionally, involving students in the formulation of these equations enhances the engagement and educational...
