This paper addresses the motivation of bachelor's degree students in electrical engineering and information technology when learning linear algebra. AC circuit analysis uses linear algebra to determine the current and voltage in each component. We present a motivating example that demonstrates how a system of linear equations can be applied to analyze electric circuits consisting of batteries and resistors. The application of linear equations to electrical circuit analysis proves highly useful, streamlining the problem-solving process. Additionally, involving students in the formulation of these equations enhances the engagement and educational value of the lessons.

Keywords: Motivation, applied problem, system of linear equations, electric circuit, electrical engineering.
