New trends in technical education are applied in modern medicine. Monitoring of vital signs is a typical example of the use of ICT and technology at school and in practice. At the anesthesiology and resuscitation department (ARO) of hospital multifunctional cardiomonitors monitor of vital signs biosignals of critically ill patients. They are: electrocardiogram (ECG), heart rate (HR), noninvasive arterial blood pressure (NIBP), respiratory curve and respiratory rate (RR), temperature, oxygen saturation (SpO2), or optionally brain activity (EEG), invasive blood pressure (IBP), etc.

This article concerns the usage of thermovision camera for heat transfer measurement around shaped heat transfer surfaces. Considering the fact, that transparent objects has been used during the measurements, appropriate visualization components must be chosen, which are afterwards recorded using the camera. The thermovision cameras can be advantageously used for teaching subjects that focus on heat transfer and verification of associated calculations or demonstration of heat losses through building constructions.

ASSIGNMENT TEST TASKS WITHIN TECHNICAL SUBJECTS

The most frequently used type of tasks in didactical tests are test tasks with a choice of the correct answer. However, there some technical applications, such as diagrams of metal systems, in which assignment tasks are more convenient. The advantage of assignment tasks is that they minimize the risk of guessing the correct answer. Moreover, a single test task can contain hundreds of items at the same time not at the expense of clarity.

The paper presents selected results of a qualitative investigation (semi-structured interviews), conducted at the beginning of 2012 in selected pupils with a social disadvantage. 98 pupils were addressed in the investigation to reveal some of the factors with a significant influence on pupils´ own professional aspirations and consequently on the choice of school or profession. QUALITY OF LIFE AND WORK SATISFACTION OF HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS IN SLOVAKIA

The article is focused on the quality of life and work satisfaction of high school teachers in Slovakia. The paper describes research results gained by SEIQoL (The Schedule for the Evaluation of Individual Quality of Life) method and by work satisfaction questionnaire. The quality of life reached the value approximately of 68 from 100. The total satisfaction with life is 72. Only 68 % of secondary school teachers are satisfied with their job.

The paper describes the application of Cloze-test. By the using of which it is possible to measure abilities of students to understand the text. The contribution presents results of the research work in which the comprehension of text from engineering textbook by students in the secondary school was measured. Intermediate level of the text understanding was detected for students in the third and fourth year of the study, lower level of the understanding was measured in the second year of the study. This level is appropriate from the point of view of motivating of students in learning.

The article presents the evaluation of the quality of secondary schools in Slovakia. In Slovakia, there is no evaluation of the quality ranking of secondary schools and only comparison is made of quality university education. THE 3D MODELS OF THE LABORATORY ABRASSIVE WEAR TESTS

This article is about possibilities of using CAD modelers for the making of 3D moving models focusing on the study of abrassive wear. These laboratory abrassive wear tests are described here and they are used for the learning and researching of machine parts and tools for land processing. The tests on the grinding cloth, in Bond´s device and in the grinding container were chosen for animation making. The individual parts of devices were moulded by using CAD modelers. The moving sets were put together by using individual parts, generating them into the demonstrative video and being able to play them by PC players.

Individual components were assembled by means of kinematic joints so to be observed the basic parameters, which can influence the kinematic characteristics.
